2025 has a been a tough year for Blavatsky in the mainstream. We have noticed several rather unflattering posts about her that went viral, a level attention that I don't recall seeing before:

Wouter J. Hanegraaff gives a glowing review of a book about Blavatsky with a less than flattering thesis:

Theosophy. Ancient Theology, Orientalism, and Buddhism” (Wil and Paris:

Massimo Introvigne review, November 11bitterwinter.org/theosophys-lit
a moderator on an Alice Bailey Facebook group (10.5k members) made the following choice remark (Nov. 7):
'It was the start (Isis also) of the new phase of the Ancient Wisdom teachings, and as such would only partially 'hit the mark', but we should be grateful for this push forward, although I believe the SD has almost entirely been outgrown now.'
But every cloud has a silver lining. The long-awaited second volume of Blavatsky's collected letters was released in March, a great event which will receive more coverage in the future:
The Letters of H. P. Blavatsky: Volume 2 1879-1883theosophical.org/publications/q
some unpublished letters of A.P. Sinnett have been discovered, with small Mahatma notes here and there
another recent book:
Katherine Tingley: The Hijacking of the Theosophical Society in America, Ernest E. Pelletier, Edmonton Theosophical Society
